Cleanses
I like to do a few cleanses during the year. I always do one when I go back to work in August, after a summer of happy hours, I need to cleanse my body. I also always do a cleanse after the holidays, a great way to start the new year.
KevinTrudeau (www. NaturalCures.com) recommends:
colon cleanse, 1-3 times a year
liver/gallbladder cleanse, once every 4 years
candida cleanse, once a year
There are many cleanses, individual, and whole body at your local health store. When deciding on a cleanse make sure to read the labels. Make sure there is no added wheat, corn, or soy.
I have found one cleanse in particular that I really enjoy, taken from the book, “7 Day Detox Miracle”, by Peter J. D’Adamo. I’ve included a summary of the cleanse.
7 Day Detox Miracle
6 Steps of “Eco Tox” Program:
1. Remove obstacles to health.
2. Improve circulation
3. Enhance elimination
4. Repair gastrointestinal system
5. Stimulate liver
6. Transform stress
Toxic exposure- 2 days of liquids only fasting and 5 day diet lets digestive system rest. High protein diets increase breakdown of chemicals.
Hydrotherapy encourages circulation. It stimulates reflex points on the skin’s surface, which helps organs detox, enhancing the filtering and cleaning of the blood.
Probiotics help repair the gastrointestinal system.
The liver stores sugars, converts sugars into glucose, and maintains blood sugar levels. It aids in fat metabolism. Signs of a sluggish liver are poor skintone, dark circles under eyes, yellow coated tongue, bitter taste in mouth, headaches, irritability, arthritis, and inability to digest fasts.
