I have read many different books about “healing food”, diets that are right for your body type, certain foods to eat for certain illesses, etc. I would like to share some interesting articles I’ve discovered.
I found “Eat Right for Your Type”, by Dr. Peter J.D’Adamo particularly interesting. I encourage you to read his book for more details.
He has laid out a dietary plan for each blood type.
Blood Type A-”The Cultivator“
The “cultivators” were the first vegans. They have a sensitive digestive tract, a tolerant immune system, flourish on vegan diets, need pure, organic foods. They are predisposed to cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. When they eat red meat they feel sluggish and store meat as fat. Dairy foods are poorly digested.
To lose weight, soy foods,veggies, and pineapple are encouraged.
Must stay away from ham, cold cuts, (which contain nitrites), these promote stomach cancer.
Supplements to focus on: Vitamin B, C, E, calcium, ion, zinc, selenium
Type AB “The Enigma”
Sensitive digestive tract overly tolerant immune system, 2-5% of population
Genetically programmed for meat, can supplement with toful and veggies, less efficient metabolism.
Tofu, seafood, dairy, and green veggies encourage weight loss.
Focus on supercharging the immune system, suppy cancer fighting antioxidants, strengthening the heart.
Type B Diet (The Nomad)
Balanced, strong immune system, tolerant digestive system, dairy eater.
Green veggies, meat, eggs, low fat dairy encourage weight loss.
AVOID: chicken, bacon, ham, pork
Supplements:
Focus on fine tuning balanced diet, improving insulin efficiency, strengthening viral immunity, and focus, magnesium, digestive enzymes, ginko bibloba, lecithin
Type O Diet
Intense physical exercise, animal protein, ketosis-condition when body’s metabolism is altered, result of high protein, high fat diet and few carbs, body metabolizes proteins and fats into detones, used in place of sugars to keep glucose levels steady, depends on use of lean , chemical free meats, poultry, fish, dairy and grains are not as easy to digest, needs efficient metabolism to stay lean and energetic, overactive immune system
Weight loss
Restrict initially consumption of grains, breads, legumes, and beans. Leading factor to weight grain is gluten, found in wheat germ and whole wheat products,, it acts on your metabolism to create opposite state of ketosis. The gluten lectins inhibit insulin metabolism. (Eating gluten is like putting wrong kind of octane in your car). Thyroid regulation, tend to not product enough iodine.
AVOID corn, eggplant, potatoes, bad and cause arthritic conditions because lectins deposit in tissue around joints.
Breast Cancer
Mostly type O’s and B’s fully recovered with the least aggressive treatment. Type A more suspectible to breast cancer.
**11/11 "Skinny Bitch" nutritionI recommend reading the book, Skinny Bitch, by Kim Barnouin and Rory Freedman. It outlines many concepts that allow the body to heal and free it from toxins Below is a quick summary of the book:
Acidic foods cause body to produce fat cells.
Splenda is amde by chlorinating sugar, changing it’s molecular structure, (sucralose)
Aspartame is bad, causes arthritis, birth defects, lupus, diabetes, toxic and carcinogenic, when paired with carbs it causes brain to slow production of serotonin
Use nonhydrogenated oils
Dairy is fattening
Milk contains ammonium percholrate, the main explosive component in rocket fuel, it finds its way into water used for growing feed crops for cattle.
Some alcohol contains urethane, a cancer causing chemical
Look for organic red wine without sulfites, NSA, this is rich in antioxidants
Soda is liquid satan, high level of phosphorus, can increase calcium loss in body
Start morning with cup of caffeine free herbal tea, organic, decaffeinated green tea is like a wonder drup, anti aging, fights cancer, llowers blood pressure
Fast at least one a month, all water, all raw foods, all juice
Wait to eat breakfast until you’re hungry, best breakfast to eat is fruit
**11/11 Superfoods
I was watching Oprah one day, and she did a segment on Superfoods. Although I didn't write down the title of the book, I read the book she recommended and want to share the 25 superfoods that can aid in healing our bodies.
(These are listed in no particular order).
Avocados-help block absoprtion of bad fats, high in lutein, (helps eyesight)
Beets-folate, guards against birth defects, colon cancer, osteoperosis, high in fiber and beta carotene.
Horseradish-cosinolate-rich, fights cancer, kills bacterial, calcium, vit c, potassium
Sweet potatoes-phytonutrients that promote heart health and eye health, boost immunity, beta caroteen, and vitamin A
Cruiferous veggies-cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli
Blueberries-antioxidants, ombat damange from inflammation
Dark, leafy greens, (spinach, kale, swiss chard), Vit A, lutein, omega 3s
onions, garlic-lower blood cholesterol, inhibit growth of cancer cells
whole grains-fill you up
oregano-1/2 tsp has benefits of a spinach salad, improves digestion
cinnamon-highest antioxidant of herbs, helps blood glucose levels
ginger, cayenne pepper, black pepper- boost metabolism
miso-low calorie protein, B12, zinc
yogurt-probiotics
sesame seeds-lower cholesterol
walnuts-lowers LDL cholesterol and my reduce inflammation in arteries
green tea-metabolism boosting compound (EGCG), improves bone density
dark chocolate-flavonoids, 1 oz a day
flaxseed- omega 3 fatty acids, speed up cell metabolism, reduce inflammation in body, reduce triglyceride levels, lowers blood pressure

**12/11 Alkaline vs Acidity, the pH diet for cancer
Dr. Robert Young is the creator of the pH miracle diet. According to him, cancer is not a sickness or a disease. It is the effect of the metabolic acids that are built up in the blood and then released into the tissues. Cancer, according to Dr. Young, is actually an acidic liquid that spills into the cells, tissues, and organs. He says the cause for cancer lies in over acidity. Any pH below 7.0 is considered acidic, and the lower the pH the higher the acidity level in the person’s body is.
At the cellular level, your cells consume the food you eat and produce metabolic acids. Those acids are normally expelled by the body through urine or sweat. When you consume a vast amount of acidic foods and lead a lifestyle that produces even more acidity, your body does not know what to do with the rest of the acid waste. When you eat highly acidic on a regular basis, your body simply does not have enough energy to get rid of the excess acids. They collect in the body and create disruptions at the cellular level. Metabolic acids are first kept in the blood, then the tissues. When acid is kept in the tissue, it causes sickness, disease, and cancerous tissues. Cancer is the acidic liquid from metabolism that pools in the body. Tumors are a signpost to where your body is collecting excess metabolic acid.

Tips on alkalinizing your diet:
Eat lots of fruits and veggies
Squeeze lemon or lime into water
Try to eat 1 cup of alkalinizing greens daily, such as kale, mustard greens, or brocolli
Eat millet or quinoa as an alternative to wheat
Choose fish and lamb over beef
Use olive oil instead of vegetable oils
Try a greens powder
Learn to make a miso broth. Dissolve one tsp of miso into a cup of hot, not boiling, water.
